Akima Global Logistics is looking for a Logistics Analyst I onsite in Huntsville, AL, supporting the Marshall Logistics Support Services II contract at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). This is an on-site position, with regular work hours Monday thru Friday and mission support may be needed outside of normal duty hours. The Logistics Analyst works as part of a team in the work control section, supporting work center-wide and is an integral part of the mission AGL supports at MSFC.  

• Oversees and coordinates production logistics in the development of detailed work order submittals and IDIQ quotes.
• Assures full documentation of the completed work within multiple systems.
• Interfaces directly with customers to thoroughly document customer issues and use of the Government work control system(s) eg. NASA Integrated Systems Management and Maximo.
• Pulls reports for overall management of the workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Maintains, tracks, and monitors the status of job in-progress and communicates status and updates as needed.
• Develop detailed reports which may include actual job hours accrued and issues encountered.
• Makes recommendations for process improvement and maintains inventory of consumables and other items necessary to accomplish work tasks.
• Data entry into work management, information workflow, and accounting systems- must be proficient in using Microsoft office software such as outlook and excel functions.

• Bachelors Degree in related field of study OR 3 years equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• US Citizenship and REAL ID required.  Must meet federal requirements for access to government information; dual citizenship may affect eligibility.
• Strong computer skills and able to navigate use of multiple computer systems independently, incl Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook and Excel.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working within Maximo and/or Government systems is a plus.
