Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is searching for Senior Defence Strategy Analysts to join the BDUK Strategy team in London or Bristol, to develop actionable strategies that drive positive change for the business.
The BDUK Strategy team is responsible for providing and synthesizing UK defence business, spanet, competitive, and financial information to develop and evaluate strategic alternatives (e.g. business model, organic investments, competitiveness) across the enterprise. The team works closely with the BDUK Business units (Vertical Lift, Fixed Wing and Digital), BGS and BDS businesses to develop strategic growth plans and partners with other functions to ensure strategies and required investments are reflected in the business plan.
The successful candidate will lead across organizational boundaries to ensure strategic alignment and integration across Boeing. The ability to collaborate as part of a team as well as perform independently, to generate key strategic analysis, while applying critical thinking across complex problems and to present and defend insights from the analysis to senior leaders within the business is critical to the success of the position. This position is expected to be hands-on with high visibility and strong initiative.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead research, benchspaning, forecasting, and synthesis to inform strategic decisions
Drive enterprise, functional, and business-unit integration of strategic decision analysis
Lead business-case development in partnership with finance, program management, business development, and operational teams
Ensure strategies and recommended investments are included in the Long Range Business Plan
Support evaluation of spanet development, industry collaboration, acquisitions, and partnerships
Collaborate across functions to develop and deploy strategies that achieve business objectives
Lead and facilitate high-level meetings on complex strategic topics to build alignment and drive decisions
Present and defend strategic insights and recommendations to senior leaders
The selected candidate will also be required to work onsite in the London or Bristol office for three days per week.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years’ experience performing strategy-related work (e.g. spanet or competitive research and analysis, strategy development, facilitating strategic decisions)
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate analytic results clearly
Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10–25 as required.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in industrial, defence, or aerospace sectors especially afterspanet services for aerospace & defence
Knowledge of the defence-related technologies, industry spanets, and competitive landscape.
Knowledge of the UK Defence & Security landscape and key strategic interlocutors
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong spanet forecast and analysis experience
Work effectively with large datasets and visualisations
Demonstrated experience developing long-term strategies and serving as a strategic business partner to leadership teams
Prior consulting or corporate strategy experience
MBA or advanced degree in business, finance, strategy, or international studies preferred
Academic background in Business (Finance, International Business, Marketing, Operations Management), Economics, Engineering, or Political Science is desirable
Proven expertise in spanet/competitive research and analysis, strategy development, and facilitating strategic decision-making
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
