The Facility Management Engineer oversees the planning, design, and execution of renovation, redecoration, and redesign projects across Royal Jordanian facilities. The role ensures that all facilities reflect Royal Jordanian’s corporate image and operational standards. In addition, the Facility Management Engineer supports the effective and timely execution of periodic and preventive maintenance activities across all assigned facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, assign, and schedule work tasks for facility technicians, including conducting initial evaluations of building systems and distributing work assignments accordingly.
- Coordinate and monitor preventive maintenance activities for refrigeration units, plumbing systems, electrical systems, overhead doors, and other mechanical infrastructure.
- Coordinate and support installation, troubleshooting, and repair activities related to electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Review, maintain, and update maintenance logs, technical records, and maintenance budgets, ensuring full documentation and compliance with internal procedures.
- Support after-hours facility requirements and operational activities when needed to ensure business continuity.
- Read, interpret, and apply technical sketches, diagrams, drawings, and blueprints related to facility projects and maintenance works.
- Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals, designs, and plans, and coordinating with management and relevant stakeholders.
- Manage procurement and buying activities related to facility projects, including pre-qualification processes, RFIs, RFPs, and related sourcing activities.
- Conduct technical and commercial studies to analyze vendor offers and prepare recommendations for awarding decisions.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant working environment by enforcing applicable procedures, safety rules, and regulatory requirements.
