We are hiring a Hardware Systems Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ to support the development and integration of advanced computing, communications, and hardware-software systems for mission-critical defense applications. This role requires experience with systems engineering, CONOPS development, hardware integration, performance analysis, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, system verification, digital engineering, and communications systems supporting advanced aerospace and defense technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to develop advanced computing and communications systems
- Contribute to the Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and system requirements definition
- Perform system modeling, performance analysis, and architecture development
- Support design, integration, and verification of hardware-software integrated systems
- Participate in prototype development, hardware integration, and system-level testing
- Assist with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and validation activities
- Support field test events and operational demonstrations
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field
- 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 months of experience
- Experience with requirements definition, system architecture, and systems engineering processes
- Experience with systems modeling or performance analysis
- Exposure to hardware and software integration environments
- Ability to travel occasionally to support field test events
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Hardware Prototype Development
- Experience with Hardware Integration and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing
- Background in communications systems or digital signal processing (DSP)
- Experience working in Agile hardware/software/firmware development environments
- Familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Digital Engineering or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience using SysML, MagicDraw, or Cameo
