Edison Works Quality Management System (QMS) Leader will develop and maintain policy, systems, and processes to ensure fulfillment of all internal and external quality system requirements for current and future Edison Works (EW) programs. They will own and manage Edison Works Quality System creation, execution, adoption, compliance, and alignment for EW Component Shops, EW Assembly, EW Supplier oversight, and EW Customer Contract implementation. They will oversee policy and see that requirements are capable to meet specified standards. They will use in-depth knowledge of QMS standard work and best practices and apply to how EW Quality System integrates with other functions and disciplines. They will apply a working knowledge and expertise of Industry standards, competitive elements and other factors that enable differentiation and execution of the Edison Works mission.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Creation of QMS policy and procedure.
- Approval of QMS policy, procedure and other documents.
- SMS focal for Edison Works Quality
- Customer Contract Quality elements review, recommendations, and negotiation.
- Work to develop, implement, and monitor overall process mapping for quality improvement purposes.
- Standardization of processes, tools and performance management system.
- Business Process Management Systems (e.g. Quality Management Systems, Integrated Management Systems).
- Developing specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field.
- Identify and address threat vectors impacting Edison Works ability to execute production quality level QMS.
- Serves as best practice/quality resource.
- Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area.
- Contributes towards strategy and policy development of GE Aerospace QMS and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
- Own Zero Defect Culture and Proactive Quality (including APQP) for EW Quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in with GE Aerospace QMS, APQP, AS9102, etc.) + minimum of 5 years experience with GE Aerospace QMS, APQP, AS9102, etc. Ability to acquire and maintain USG Security clearance
