Job overview and responsibilities
- Reporting to the Country Manager Brazil, has the responsibility to manage all Technical Operations activities within the station ensuring the highest levels of safety, operational performance and regulatory compliance whilst maintaining a strong focus on product and process improvement, cost control, productivity, and team building
- Supports Country manager to plan and actively manage both long range and day-to-day maintenance operations within the region
- Works closely with direct reports and labor to ensure optimal productivity, positive labor relations and adequate resources are available to support the mission
- Execution of departmental strategy and business plan through direct leadership of station maintenance personnel
- Shared responsibility for budgetary compliance and cost control within the station
- Provide leadership and direction to maintenance organization including labor workforce to maximize productivity and output in accordance with collective bargaining agreements where applicable whilst ensuring necessary resources are available
- Build / reinforce a fair and respectful work environment through consistent application of CBA work rules and company policies
- Execute station performance goals and objectives aligning with divisional and company goals
- Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, financial, compliance, safety, and human resource related performance objectives
- Ensure safety and security of aircraft and operations
- Interface with aircraft maintenance vendors, regulatory authorities, and local governments to ensure regulatory compliance of technical operations activities
- Maintain a high level of communication with all levels & employee groups within the station
- Report status of operations, highlighting significant events to Leadership whilst providing direction to assigned station personnel to ensure divisional objectives are achieved
- Assign projects where applicable
