How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The TechOps Technology and Analytics team is seeking a strategic Platform Manager to lead the development, design, evolution, and governance of enterprise data platforms. This role is focused on scaling and optimizing Delta’s Foundry/Skywise platforms across the organization and is uniquely positioned to drive alignment, prioritization, and enablement of broader-scale initiatives. Emphasis is placed on ontology integration, data governance, and increased platform access. The Platform Manager owns the platform vision and serves as a critical bridge between data engineering, product, analytics, and operations—ensuring the platform evolves as a secure, scalable foundation for operational decision-making and AI/ML innovation. Key Responsibilities and Domains:Platforms Strategy & Roadmap: Define and drive strategic roadmaps for Foundry, aligning with long-term business and modernization goals. Partner with ontology, governance, and infrastructure leaders to enable broad, governed data access and reusability. Lead prioritization of large-scale initiatives with vendors, including negotiating change orders and ensuring platform features meet operational needs. Incorporate user experience (UX) and interface design principles into platform evolution to ensure intuitive and accessible tools. Platforms Administration & Optimization: Administer platform configurations, access control, and resource allocation to ensure compliance and performance. Own platform-aligned release schedules and lead sprint planning and backlog refinement. Provide input into architecture reviews and roadmap planning for cross-team alignment, identifying new features or solutions for optimization. Implement FinOps monitoring and cost optimization strategies. Oversee CI/CD processes, automated deployments, and infrastructure-as-code practices. Integration & Enablement:Lead integrations between Foundry and other enterprise systems. Provide reusable frameworks, templates, and reference architectures for ingestion, transformation, and ontology management. Champion best practices in ETL/ELT, pipeline optimization, and distributed computing. Collaboration & Leadership:Partner with data engineering, product teams, and stakeholders to identify needs and deliver scalable solutions. Champion a platform-as-a-product mindset, supporting self-service tools and consistent user experience. Coordinate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to oversee secure, auditable release cycles. Collaborate with UX/UI teams and end users to continuously improve usability, consistency, and self-service capabilities across the platform. Mentoring & Continuous Improvement:Define KPIs for platform adoption, usability, and value delivery. Leverage telemetry and stakeholder feedback to drive iterative improvements.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Information Systems or equivalent 5+ years working technical and platform knowledge 5+ years of experience managing enterprise data platforms or distributed data environments. 3+ years of experience leading people/teams Strong understanding of data architecture, ontology modeling, and collaborative analytics platforms. Familiarity with Palantir Foundry (Workshop, Ontology, Slate) or similar semantic data platforms. Proven ability to lead cross-functional alignment, planning, and large-scale delivery programs. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry or comparable platforms (e.g., Dataiku, Databricks, SAP HANA). Background in data engineering, analytics, or product ownership for enterprise platforms. Advanced scripting or development skills in Python, PySpark, or SQL Knowledge of Agile frameworks and DevOps delivery pipelines. Familiarity with cloud-based architecture, access control models, and enterprise data governance standards.
