Job Description:
Aerovel (the Airbus Helicopters Flexrotor Program) is looking for a Flight Operator - Trainee to join our UAS Flight Operations department based in Bingen, WA.
You&39;ll be responsible for supporting flight and maintenance duties for global customer demonstrations and assisting in field integrations of the Flexrotor system, CONUS demonstration flights and assisting in engineering and post production test flight operations. This role involves collaborating with production and engineering teams, conducting flight and maintenance duties, performing functional tests on aircraft and equipment, input data for aircraft and GSE logbooks, and providing limited technical support to deployed operations. The Flexrotor Operator Trainee assists and supports the readiness and functionality of aircraft systems.

Your Challenges:
Primary Responsibilities:
Customer Demonstrations Support 50
Prepare customer aircraft for acceptance, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), and payloads.
Perform aircraft, GSE and related equipment scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Perform inventory and inspection of all parts of the system to ensure compliance with company standards.
Identify discrepancies and provide feedback for solutions to ensure all products meet compliance standards post-delivery.
Maintain detailed records in aircraft logbooks and similar digital information tracking systems.
Assist in site survey and integration activities.
Provide post mission products and after-action report inputs to HO Flight Operations & Demo.
Assist in pre-installation site surveys to assess requirements and potential challenges.
Field Technical Support 45
Collaborate with the flight operations team to identify and resolve challenges and issues.
Assist in installation and configure systems and sites for operations, whether on land or maritime platforms.
Conduct inventory of parts received on site to verify completeness and quality.
Ensure compliance with all required non-production Service Bulletins and regulatory standards.
Conduct functional tests on Flexrotor UAS systems using approved procedures.
Perform administrative functions to support demonstrations and integrations, including maintaining records.
Ensure all departmental documents and records are accurately maintained and comply with company and government audit standards.
Provide support to flight demonstration, engineering and post production flight tests.
Provide periodic support for special projects or initiatives within the Flight Operations department, as needed.
Support to training organization (Those operators with their experience should contribute to improve the training and also help when needed of training is lacking of resource.

Preferred:
Technical Schooling or Associates Degree, or the equivalent with related experience in an aviation environment
Aviation experience within the civilian or military aviation space
Experience with UAS operations

Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. daily
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Several times a week
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Several times a week

Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.

Hourly range:
Hourly range based on the required profile: $19.50 - $30.00/hour. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on geographic differential. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
