Job TitleAssistant Manager, Southern Region Sales
Reports ToRegional Manager, Sales (Malaysia & Brunei)
Role PurposeCo-lead the southern region sales team in collaboration with the Manager by driving the development and execution of effective sales and spaneting plans, while ensuring customer-centric operational excellence to achieve sales targets aligned with revenue goals and the organizations Commercial Strategic Pillars.
Key Accountability- Establish good relationships with all travel agencies, travel trade partners, and tourism boards to drive sales and ensure continuous support, in line with business sales policies. Advise them on the companys sales procedures and policies.
- Explore growth opportunities and implement sales strategies and policies to achieve revenue targets within the allocated overhead budget. Monitor performance data and KPIs related to sales and revenue, ensuring the achievement of CSP targets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on initiatives to improve and drive high-yield revenue contributions from travel agencies and travel trade partners.
- Obtain feedback from the trade, analyze regional sales performance, including conducting competitive intelligence on rival sales activities, and provide recommendations and possible solutions to management to support a more robust sales drive.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to the Central Region team. Address any shortcomings promptly to develop an effective and high-performing sales team.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, ensuring that all terms and conditions comply with company policies and guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide ad-hoc and administrative support to the Regional Manager, Sales (Malaysia & Brunei), as well as any other support work assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Working Experience- A Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Marketing with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience in sales or commercial roles; or
- A Diploma in the same fields with at least 10 years relevant experience.
Areas of Experience / Personality Traits- In-depth knowledge of the airline industry and its commercial dynamics.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in additional languages is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for identifying growth and improvement opportunities.
